The German American Partnership Program supports school partnerships between German and U.S. schools.

The Joachim Herz Foundation has been supporting "GAPP" since 2017. The funding provides students from U.S. high schools with travel scholarships to participate in a short-term exchange in Germany.

The "German American Partnership Program" is part of the cultural relations and education policy of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is run jointly by the Pedagogical Exchange Service of the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany (PAD), the Goethe-Institut New York and GAPP, Inc.
