    Cooperation between the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees

    The division of responsibilities between the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees is based on the model of a stock corporation: The Executive Board manages the business of the Foundation, while the Board of Trustees advises and monitors it. The joint Foundation Committee, which is made up of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board, deals with fundamental issues relating to the strategic orientation of the Foundation.

    Petra Herz has been honorary chairwoman of the Joachim Herz Foundation since 2016. Previously, she had been chairwoman of the foundation since its establishment in 2008 and took over its management after the death of her husband Joachim Herz.

    Petra Herz is available to the Foundation in an advisory capacity as Honorary Chair.
