From May 1 to June 30, apprentices can apply for residencies in Georgia, USA.
Stays abroad during vocational training are career-enhancing and personally enriching, which is why our "Trainees USA & Canada" scholarship program enables trainees to undertake internships and college visits in the USA and Canada.
From May 1 to June 30, apprentices can apply for a 6-week college program or an 8-week company internship in Georgia, USA.
Who can apply?
Apprentices who, at the time of the stay:
- Are between 18 and 27 years old,
- are completing their training in Bavaria, Berlin, the Hamburg metropolitan region or Saxony,
- have sufficient knowledge of English,
- have little or no experience abroad.
Good to know:
According to the new Vocational Training Act, the completion of training sections abroad is recognized as part of the vocational training. Thus, there is no interruption of the training and the training allowance will continue to be paid.
