Law

Since the end of 2016 the Joachim Herz Stiftung has been providing funding in the legal area. Funding for legal studies is awarded to specific projects, with a focus on northern Germany.
Specifically, approval has been given to a joint project with Bucerius Law School entitled “The Joachim Herz U.S. Exchange Program at Bucerius Law School for Young Legal Scholars.” This program is designed for doctoral/postdoctoral students and junior professors at Bucerius Law School, as well as young scholars (PhD, J.S.D., and tenure-track lecturers) at selected US partner schools.
In the period from 2017 to 2020, promising young scholars whose research focuses on aspects of comparative and international law will receive funding for placements at institutions abroad. The program will be administered by the International Office of Bucerius Law School.
As a result, the Joachim Herz Stiftung wishes to build on its existing partnership with Bucerius Law School. The Joachim Herz Stiftung has already been supporting the Master of Law and Business Program (MLB/LL.M.) at Bucerius Law School since 2009.
