German Prize for Economics from the Joachim Herz Stiftung
Starting in 2016 the Joachim Herz Foundation awards it’s German Prize for Economics every second year. The prize aims at fostering interdisciplinary research in economics and incentivizes innovative research approaches. The award honors scientists in two categories:
The category Best Research Work recognizes outstanding achievements of established scholars who have contributed significantly to the further development of economic research. In the category Top Papers from up-and-coming Scientists young researchers are honored for their work.
We award the prize to different and changing strands of economics research. In 2016, the theme has been experimental economics and in 2018 health economics. The prize in 2020 is awarded to scholars in the field of labor economics. Only researchers working at a German research institution are eligible for the prize.
