Cooperation Based on Trust
Professionalism, respect, and tolerance are at the heart of all the activities of the Joachim Herz Stiftung. Cooperation within the team is marked by mutual trust. This includes teamwork, open discussions with everyone, as well as transparent management decisions.
The Joachim Herz Stiftung has three managing bodies: the Executive Board, the Board of Trustees, and the Mutual Foundation Council consisting of members of the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees. The respective responsibilities of these bodies are defined in the statutes as well as in the Governance Codex.
Executive Board
Petra Herz
Chairwoman
Petra Herz was born in Hamburg. After completing high school, she studied pharmacy at the University of Hamburg and went on to work as a pharmacist for several years. She married Joachim Herz in 1984. In the late 1980s, she became his partner in the management of his private assets. Mrs. Herz has been the Chairperson of the Board since day one of the Joachim Herz Stiftung.

Dr. Klaus Landry
Chairman
Dr. Landry is a partner at the law firm Graf von Westphalen.
Dr. Christian Olearius
Vice-Chairman
Dr. Olearius is the spokesperson for the personally liable shareholders of the private bank M.M. Warburg & CO KGaA.
Prof. Dr. Albrecht Wagner
Member
Prof. Wagner is an emeritus professor of physics and was the Director of DESY until 2009.
